Code Enforcement
The City of Prineville works to enhance neighborhood livability, safety, and welfare through code enforcement. Community Service Officers are tasked with enforcing city code and city ordinances. These include but are not limited to; animal nuisance, noxious vegetation, abandoned vehicles, burn regulations, junk, rubbish, signs.
The ultimate goal of code enforcement is compliance. We encourage all members of the community to work together to make Prineville a great place to live for all citizens. There are those instances where voluntary compliance is not met. In these cases, the City may resolve the nuisance through formal civil or enforcement actions.
