Public Records

The City of Prineville constantly strives to improve government transparency and makes every effort to make the most common records available on line, and to make finding them as easy as possible.  If you need help navigating the website to find information you are looking for, please feel free to contact us.

If a record is not available online, a request to inspect or obtain copies of a public record that is in the custody of the City of Prineville must be made in writing.  Persons are encouraged to use the standard public records form ( City Public Records Request Forms - Form A) provided below.

Other forms related to public records requests can be found below as well, along with basic information pertaining to public records, and the City of Prineville Request for Public Records Request policy, which is consistent with the State of Oregon Public Records Law.  The Federal "Freedom of Information Act" (FOIA) does not apply to requests for the City's public records.  This law only applies to requests for public records maintained by the federal government.

For police reports and 9-1-1 records requests you may complete the Police Records Request form below and email it to records@prinevillepd.org or call (541) 447-4168.

All other public records requests may be submitted to lmorgan@cityofprineville.com, or call (541) 447-5627 ext. 106 for assistance.
