Capital Project
Project Status:
Approved
Date Received:
Thursday, October 29, 2020
The City of Prineville and the Oregon Department of Transportation (ODOT) will be starting our long awaited Rails to Trails project beginning in the first couple weeks of November. This project is funded with a grant from ODOT and will be administrated by ODOT. Knife River of Central Oregon was selected as the successful bidder for the project.
The project will convert the old Railroad corridor from NE Juniper Street to Combs Flat Road into a multi use 10 foot wide paved path that will include an enhanced pedestrian crossing across East Third Street. Completion of this project is expected this coming spring
